Review: Wet n Wild Speed Gloss (+ more).

Okay, I'm kind of all over the place with this post because I'm SO EXCITED for this gloss!!!

This weekend I picked up one of the many new products from Wet 'n' Wild (seriously, they have a TON of new products out right now). This is called....the Speed Gloss.

This is quite a big collection from WnW, with about 10 shades to choose from. So, what's so special about Speed Gloss? And what makes it speedy? Well, this super shiny formula is also infused with Ginko Biloba, Ginseng, Guarana and Acai- which all help to "speed up" your energy.

The shade I picked up is a light pink in Frantic. The texture is somewhat sticky, but no where near as sticky as MAC's Lipglass. The texture/thickness is similar, but it's "stickyness" reminds me of Bare Essensuals Buxom Gloss. But, honestly, I like Speed Gloss much better.

The one thing I absoutely love about this gloss is the sparkle. I'm not one for a lot of sparkle in my glosses, but this...this I like. It isn't too over the top and it's jus the right amount of glitz for me.

I tried this out Saturday night and wore exceptionally well. It lasted through a whole 2 hour Philharmonic concert and didn't have to touch up once!!! It also tingles the lips, feels great to me, but may be a problem for people with sensitive lips/skin. Bonuses: It didn't chap my lips!! Another bonus: it smells/tastes lovely, just like mint! Maybe that's the Ginko or Acai, but it all tastes minty to me :)

Bottom line: these rock my potatoes. They were about $1.99 (can't remember off the top of my head) and come in 10 shades that range from nudes, to pinks to reds, so there's something for everyone. Highly recommend!!!!

So, about that Philharmonic concert....

Last Thursday I won a pair of free tickets from my local newspaper, The Fresno Bee to the Fresno Philharmonic. I didn't expect to win at all- but it was a nice surprise when I checked my email at lunch! For as big of a music lover as I am, this was the first time attending one of their shows. And it was extra special that night, they did a whole concert playing music from movies (Example: The Wizard of Oz, Spiderman, Pirates of the Caribbean, and all the big John Williams scores- Superman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Memoirs of a Geisha). It was an AMAZING night! I had great seats and spent some quality time with my mom (awww). Here's my FOTD from that night:

I'm wearing Rimmel Stay Matte foundation, MAC blush in Pinch O' Peach. Lips: Wet 'n' Wild Speed Gloss in Frantic, of course. On the peepers: Dior Earth Reflection quad, Revlon Colorstay Pen Eyeliner in Brown and Maybelline Full 'n' Soft mascara.

Bonus: at the concert, they had members of a local Star Wars group (yes...you read that right) roaming the lobby for some added "ambiance" (and even made an apperance in the concert, of course when they played the whole Star Wars fanfare). I ran into a Mr. Obi-Wan Kenobi.....

Muaha. Yes, it's true. This beauty blogger is also a closet Star Wars nerd!

I thought about trying one of those glosses but I don't like the packaging. That color looks so pretty though.

That concert sounds like a lot of fun. I like movie soundtracks and hearing all that live would be amazing.

Hi! You're lucky to be able to have this gloss for about 1.99$! In my area, they are around 6.00$!

Another thing: did you felt the "speeding" effect?
