Sephora VIP Event + Haul.

So, remember when I said I would sit out this year on the Sephora madness? Yeah, it didn't last long. I totally forgot (yes, it's possible) about an email I got earlier in the week about a Beauty Insider VIP event from 8-10 on Saturday....and 20% off in store!! With incentives like that I knew I had to make an effort to get up early just one more time this week.

I got to my store around 8:30, I didn't realize that it was a private event! I had to show my printed email and Beauty Insider card to even get in. It wasn't too packed, but there was a nice flow of customers already in the store. And there was Starbucks coffee! And muffins! All this plus makeup? This is heaven! There was also Christmas music blaring through the store, which added a warm, fuzzy festive touch.

I wasn't looking to buy everything in sight, I just had fun looking around and taking notes on things I liked, things I didn't like, and potential items to give as gifts. That's not to say I left empty handed, though:

Here's what I left with:
Tocca's Stella perfume, 2 mini/on-the-go size bottles of Caroline Herrera's 212 perfume (for my mom, she loves this scent, it's become her signature. I bought these for her stocking!), and Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner pencil in Stash.

The Tocca perfume was the most expensive item, but that's okay, because this scent is absolutely gorgeous. I'm bad when it comes to describing scents, so here are the notes, per Sephora: Blood Orange, Orange (Seville/Biarade/bitter), Watery Notes, Freesia, Lily, Diamond Orchid, Sandalwood, Transparent Musk....Whatever, I just know is that is smells delicious and lasts all day (and well into the night) when I wear it. And, definite plus points to it's beautiful packaging, take a look at that cap!

They were also very generous with the freebie samples at the checkout :) They gave me a duo of Jonathan hair product, a cute little bottle of Givenchy Irresistible perfume, and a little tube of Fresh lipgloss!

All in all it was a delightful morning, I got a free small breakfast, saved almost $30, and got a little bit of Christmas shopping done! And I was back home by 10 am! That's a productive morning.

Again, Even though I said I wasn't going to, I did take advantage of the online Friends and Family offer to make a small order. I just needed to stock up on my concealer, Make Up Forever Full Cover (2 tubes- will last me quite a while), and ordered a bottle of the Sephora by OPI nail polish in Metro Chic.

Time to fess up- did anyone else order from Sephora...when they said they wouldn't? Tell me I'm not alone!!!

Whoa, the freebies are huge! Hmm, the Tocca perfume is super pretty! I'm going to have to take a whiff the next time I'm in a Sephora.

Ooh, I just got my hands on the Maybelline Enchanted Forest quad you were gushing over a while ago, and wow, it really is just as gorgeous as you described! Thanks for pointing out such a great (and inexpensive!) product!
