Lip Balm Gets Even Cuter.

As if lip balms weren't so attractive enough, I had to spot these sweet little tins at Sephora:

Seriously....who could resist?! 1) Cute, convenient little tins. 2) SPF 15. 3)Yummy scents. 4) DISNEY PRINCESSES. That, my friends, is what drove it home for me. Among the many many things in this world that I am just a sucker for (taupe shadows, puppies, cute guys with accents, you know- the regulars), Disney-related paraphernalia is at the top (especially Disney Princess stuff....and especially Snow White things). Thanks to the brand On10, they bring a motherload of lip balms for us to put on our Christmas wish list, just take a peek at their product page on Sephora.

On10 was very clever to match up a scent to the character. Cinderella has an appropriate scent of pumpkin spice (I admit- at first it took me a moment to figure out what the heck pumpkins had to do with Cinderella...hello!!). It's a pretty "warm" scent and doesn't remind me of pumpkin right off the bat- but the "spice" part is spot on. Not mind-blowing, but enjoyable.

And...my favorite, Snow White, of course, has Red Apple. The apple scent is very crisp and somewhat strong and is definitely my favorite of the two. Okay, maybe I am biased because she is my favorite Princess ;)

The balms themselves are very nice. They have a nice "glide" to them and not overly waxy or dry, nor are they too "wet" or slippery on the lips. I've had the balm on for a few hours already and my lips still feel very soft and very moisturized. The scent doesn't translate onto the actual taste of the balm, which some people will love and some people will not. It's all up to your personal preference. They are colorless- but I found that the Snow White balm left a slight tint while Cinderella was swatched colorless.

These retail for $9 and can be found on Sephora.com or at your local Sephora store. I definitely recommend this for anyone who is a lip-balm fiend or has a bit of Princess at heart!

Lip balm or lip salve is a substance topically applied to the lips of the mouth to relieve chapped or dry lips, angular cheilitis or stomatitis, and cold sores. The first lip balm was actually made out of earwax. It was functional, but the taste was undesirable. However, its popularity has grown in recent years. A small but growing fan base, committed to the use of all-natural products, touts its use as a superior organic alternative to other varieties of lip balm.
