Let's Talk About HAIR.

I hope you don't mind, but I 'm going to take a break from the make up and talk a little bit about...hair. My hair and I have a love/hate relationship, it's been that way for quite a long time. Over time, for various reasons (mainly health) I've found that my hair has become thin. So, I'm always on the look-out for products that will give the best volume without weighing it down.

At the moment, I'm absolutely loving Herbal Essences Hydralicious Body Envy shampoo and conditioner. I'm constantly going through and trying different brands- but currently this is tops for me. The scent is absolutely delicious and fruity. The formula is stated to be lightweight and it certainly feels like it. A lot of shampoo just feel heavy and goopy- this is not the case here. Along with the conditioner my hair feels extremely light yet bouncy, voluminous, and soft and shiny.

Even though the previous product certainly helps in the dryness department, I still find that I have dry ends, so to cure that- a little (and I do mean little) dollop of Frederic Fekkai's Glossing Cream does the trick. I love this stuff, it feels like lotion and I stress the point that a little is all that you need. I get just a little bit larger than a pea-size portion on my hands, rub together, and apply just to my ends.

I blow dry my hair every day- in it's natural state, my hair is a weird wavy/curly that I just don't like, to be honest. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Straightening Balm isn't really neccessarily a straightening serum (because I've tried the regular Super Skinny Serum and it's waaaaaaaay too much for my hair). Sometimes moisture in the air (from the rain or humidity) causes my mop to go frizz-city and return to it's natural state. A little, once again, does the trick for this product and I love that it doesn't weigh my hair down.

But wait...there's more!!!! I know what you're thinking- I said that my hair is thin as paper yet I put all this crap in it? Right before I blow dry (I apply the two products when I get out of the shower and wait about 30 minutes before I actually blow dry) I use two more sprays, one is Rusk's Thickr spray- and this does what it says- I wish I could buy this by the gallon. It actually makes my sad excuse for hair FEEL thick and like I actually HAVE some hair! I'll usually just use this durring the week- but if I want an EXTRA boost, I'll use Avon's Salon Techniques Volumizing Spray.

Any of you out there have similar hair as mine?
Tried something different? Tell me!

Tanya, I too have very fine hair that gets weighed down very easily. On your recommendation I tried the herbal essences conditioner this weekend--YUM! Very soft shiny hair without being too heavy or greasy. Thank you!

I am also a big fan of the bumble + bumble thickening line, especially the spray. This is my go-to styling product.

@b.
I'm glad you like the shampoo!!! I've been trying to get my hands on that Brumble + Brumble spray for so long, but I haven't been able to find it in a store/salon around me. I'm sill on the lookout!
