Latest & Greatest From The Drugstore.

It's Fall!!! Fall has always been my favorite seasons; the weather is getting cooler, the nights are getting longer, it's time to break out the coffee maker and sweaters, and the Holidays are right around the corner. It also seems like brands come out with some of the best collections around the Fall, or, maybe it's just me :)

With no exception are the drugstore brands. Right now if you step into your local drugstore you'll be surprised with some amazing new products for the fall! NYC and Wet n Wild especially have some great products out that I couldn't help but purchase...

Wet n Wild have a new collection of their I-Sparkle palettes. The first round came out earlier this year, and now they're back with 3 new palettes (There might have been 4, but there were only 3 in the display) this season. The only one I came home with was the above, Celestial Realm. The other two looked kind of similar to the previous palettes released, so I passed on those.

Swatches: First shade is the green of the big petals, second shade is the center of that first flower, the third shade is the small flower in the lower corner, and the last shade is the background. I would have to say the palette is worth getting for the last color on the right alone. It's a gorgeous pigmented metallic deep brownish-gold. As you know, I can't do warm shades very well but I'm absolutely in love with the shades in this palette. The other shades look underwhelming, but it's much better in person and with a base.

This is the collection that is creating the most buzz! NYC has released a collection featuring products that resemble (and perform) just like MAC's Mineraliazed Skin Finishes and eyeshadows. I don't own any of the MAC products, so I can't compare, but I will say that these NYC products are superb!!

Sunstone.

Moonstone.

Aquamarine and Tiger's Eye.

Swatches (dry, no base): Sunstone, Moonstone, Aquamarine, Tiger's Eye.
I am seriously impressed with the blushes, the finish on these are amazing, very smooth and no glitter chunks whatsoever.

The other standout item from this same NYC collection is a new nail polish, Molten Metal. I'm not one for polish (yeah right!) but even I was left with my mouth hanging when I purchased this one. It's a high-shimmer/glitter metallic grey/purple? I was lookinat it last night and I've come to the conclusion it's the nailpolish cousin to MAC's Moth Brown, yes/no? It's quite a unique shade. And I know it looks gritty, but believe me the finish is smooth. Seriously pick this one up if your display is still full. (Sidenote: I know I have no business doing nail swatches- I stink!)

The "Halloween" brand of Wet n Wild, Fantasy Makers, always comes out with neat products for the holiday...

Eyeshadow duos in Smolder and Sumptuous. I originally saw these as part of the specialty makeup kits, but then finally came across these sold seperately. These were under $2 and the color payoff is really nice- swatches are a bit further below!

Will I ever wear black gloss? Probably not. But funny enough it's become a "trend" and the higher end brands are coming (came?) out with some red and black gloss sets. Well, if I'm going to follow this trend I think I'll opt for the 99 cent version ;) These are tiny little vials of red and black gloss, attached to a keychain. Why? I don't know, but aren't they cute?

Again, dark lips are a big trend this season. These lipsticks in Vamp and Geisha's Kiss is the way to go if you aren't sure of the dark lip look and want to test the waters. For a buck and some change, why not?

Swatches! Top: Black and Red mini lipgloss.
Bottom row: Vamp lipstick, Sumptuous eyeshadow duo, Smolder duo, Geisha's Kiss lipstick.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! The weather here at home is delicious, it's making me want to drink coffee and bake bread all day. How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Make this week excellent!

I love those N.Y.C Chroma Face Glows! They show up so much better when I spray my brush with some Fix+ first. I can't seem to find those i-sparkle palettes anywhere..not even any of the ones that came out earlier.

oh man....!!! I so regretted buying my MAC mineralized skin finish now. I'm all out for dupes and I thought there weren't any for MAC's MSF!
