Eye Spy: Sephora

Yesterday after a doctor's appointment, I decided to stop at the mall for a little Sephora therapy. I knew I wasn't going to buy anything, but I just wanted to look around without bumping into the big crowds (I went at the most perfect time, 2:00pm). I don't go to the mall often, so this was a chance to see somethings that I had been looking at online, in person.

I also decided to get some spy-like photos with my phone ;) despite the low crowds, I was still approached by Sephora assistants every 3 minutes asking if I was alright. Didn't they hear me tell the other two girls I was just looking around? Geez. If it wasn't for the Spanish Inquisition, I probably would have taken more photos.

Here is the Lash Stash. A pack of seven mini/trial size mascaras to try for a spin before committing to a full size. This is actually a great idea. Kudos, Sephora! I'm so hesitant to try higher end mascaras due to their price, which is a main reason why I just stick to drugstore (And there's nothing wrong with drugstore! Nuthin' but love) mascara. I've tried Bad Gal Lash with good results, and I've been dying to try Too Faced Lash Injection. At $28 this is a great way to try something new.

The Dior counter.

TheBalm's Balms Away Makeup Remover (I love the name!). I remember seeing The Muse's review on this and was glad to see this in person. I tested it out on my hand to remove the various Dior and Nars eyeshadow swatches. I was instantly in love with the vintage tin design. The texture is similar to Vaseline, but it's not as slick, I guess. It has a little texture. I really needed just a little dollop and the swatches melted away. A swipe with a cotton pad and it was clean! And left my hand very soft. I was a little impressed but at $19, I'll stick to my cheaper Avon remover.

Like delicate glass candies.
Shiseido's Hydro-Powder Eye Shadows.

Cargo blushes.

Make Up Forever shadows.

Want. This. So. Bad!
The colors in the Bare Escentuals Rocker Eye Kit are deliciously sexy and smoky...and how bad ass is that brush? Who wouldn't want a brush that says ROCK 'N' ROLL on it? This is going to be mine. Soon.

Palettes! Palettes! Palettes! I'm loving these palettes! As you can tell I'm a sucker for anything relating to a smoky eye. The Too Faced Smoky Eye Palette is another little kit that adds a twist to the regular black/grey smoky eye with green, blue, and bronze. Add this to the lemming list!

So, lovlies. Indulge me. Anyone else sneak photos at Sephora? Department stores? Drugstores?
...Bueller?...Bueller?

The BE rocker eye looks awesome. I don't usually like BE, but I would definitely check this out.

Yeah, I'm definitely not a fan of BE when it comes to the foundation. I do admit some of the shadows are awesome and the Buxom Lips gloss is great! I also have the original smoky eye kit and that gets used a lot.

Love the spy photos Tanya!

i agree. the buxom liips and mineral veil are probably the ONLY products i like from BE. EDM foundations are wayyy better!

i've been eyeing that lash stash for awhile now. i really, really want to get it. i just hate having to drive all the way to fresno from visalia! but for that price, i think i will!

Heh, thanks Jen! I'm usually pretty good about taking photos on the sly- but there were just so many of them that day!

Nikki, you should definitely take a trip down to ol' Fresno ;) While you're at Sephora at least you can make a pit stop at Macy's! Visalia doesn't have a Macy's still, does it? It's been a while since I've been down there.
